Graduate Student

The Molecular Biopsychology Laboratory at the University of Memphis is currently recruiting a graduate student to begin in the Fall of 2005. It is expected that this student will pursue graduate work that will culminate in the Ph D degree. Students with interest in either mouse genetics, as it relates to alcohol abuse or animal models of adolescent alcohol abuse, will be given preference. Generous stipend, book allowance, computer facilities and travel monies are available.


Post-doctoral Researcher

Post-doctoral Researcher, genetics of alcohol responses. The Molecular Biopsychology Laboratory at the University of Memphis is seeking a post-doctoral researcher to work on a new NIH funded grant. The investigator will study the effect of ethanol on memory and hippocampal electrophysiology in GABAA receptor g2 knockout mice. A competitive salary, benefits and support budget will be available to the researcher. Preference will be given to applicants with experience either in mouse behavioral pharmacology or electrophysiology.
