Philosophy on Graduate Training

My philosophy for graduate education is very simple; graduate education should be a life-defining experience. Other than faith and family, graduate education should be the most important activity a person engages in during this portion of their life. With this in mind, I approach graduate students with excitement, energy and enthusiasm. I try to always teach my students and I try to always learn from my students. We conduct research together, write manuscripts together and read the published literature together.
